Left-wing Violence Continues in Los Angeles

Since 2000, major blue cities have seen a recurring pattern of left-wing protests that often turn violent. Media coverage has routinely minimized the criminal aspects while amplifying the movements’ stated goals. But a closer look suggests these causes may serve as shifting banners for the same groups to incite unrest—from BLM to Free Palestine to anti-Tesla and anti-ICE demonstrations.

Behind the changing slogans, many of the organizers remain constant. More concerning, the funding for these actions often traces back to individuals and organizations with ties to foreign adversaries.

In 2023, The New York Times published a well-researched article documenting a global network of organizations promoting CCP propaganda, tied to socialist billionaire Neville Roy Singham. Singham is married to Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans, whose group is a central part of this network. The groups that attacked federal immigration agents and rioted in Los Angeles last weekend and the groups behind anti-Israel protests and associated violence across the country, can also be clearly linked to Singham.

This is not a coincidence but rather an orchestrated effort to create chaos and promote violence. The pretext for the riot is largely irrelevant to these left-wing anarchists, who seek to foment a communist revolution in the US. This is exacerbated by the failure of certain blue cities to enforce laws and impose meaningful consequences for those responsible. A responsible media would focus on exposing the funding and motivations of these groups—not on downplaying the violence they are inciting.

Like their media allies, the Democrats’ response to the violence in California has been to trivialize the violence and portray Trump’s proposal to deploy the National Guard or Marines as the real threat. California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass have insisted that the LAPD has things under control, even as videos and photos of mobs burning cars and ransacking private businesses dominate social feeds. Other Democrats have parroted these talking points while b-roll of malicious destruction and violent riots rage in the background.

It’s hard to reach any conclusion other than that Democrats are more concerned with opposing the enforcement of immigration laws in their state than protecting their citizens from these vicious mobs.
